Who lives in Redwood?

 According to data from July 2007, there are about 4500 people in Redwood.

 About 75% of the population is Hispanic and the rest of the population is white.

 The estimate median age of a Redwood resident is around 25 years old.

The estimate median age in Texas is about 32.

 There are about 2300 males in Redwood, and 2100 females.

 According to data from 2009, the estimate median household income was $31,000. The estimate household income in Texas is about $48,000.

The community is 2.2 miles south, southeast of San Marcos, 3.9 miles east, northeast of New Braunfels, and 3.9 miles west,southwest of Lockhart.

  What is in Redwood?

From what I have seen from google maps and my brief trip to Redwood, it mostly consists of lower income houses and large percentage of mobile homes.

 There are not a lot businesses in the community, but it is not without some stores and shops.
 Most legal, governmental and other business services for the residents of Redwood are in San Marcos or Seguin. Businesses in Redwood include a meat market, which acts as a small grocery store, at least one restaurant, a few gas stations, and a couple of car repair shops. Residents commute (by bus or some other means) to San Marcos for school.

 There are three churches in Redwood.
